EXTRUDER WITH PRECONDITIONER | EXPANDER

Extruder with preconditioner E-1700 has been designed for the production of full-fat soy with increased requirements to the protein quality in feeds for poultry.

 

The preconditioning step initiates the heating process by the additional adding of steam and water in the mixture. The preconditioner continuously hydrates, heats and mixes all the components together.

The pre-heat treatment of soybean raw materials reaches the temperature of 100 -105°C. That’s why prior to feeding into extruder barrel, soy is heated to 65-75°C.

 

As a result the process of sterilization and dehydration of product occurs.While extruding with preconditioner the cooking temperature inside extruder barrel is lower comparing with dry extrusion.

Preconditioning provides longer and milder heat treatment which allows you to get a higher quality of protein in full-fat soy. Please note that processing of soy on extruders with preconditioning leads to increase of moisture in full fat soy up to 10-12%. High moisture of full fat soy reduces the yield of soy oil in the oil press.

 

Focus on the end product:

• if you need a full fat soy, choose the extruder with preconditioner

• if you need soy oil cake (press cake), it’s better to use the dry extrusion method
